Tanzania and The Sultanate of Oman yesterday signed various agreements
aimed at enhancing political and economic ties between the two
countries.
The Agreements were signed during the second day of President Dr. Jakaya
Mrisho Kikwete’s State Visit to the Sultanate following the invitation
of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said.
The agreements were signed yesterday during the joint Tanzania- Oman
business forum held at AL Bustan Hotel in Muscat Oman including, The
Agreement on Promotion and Protection of Investment, Memorandum of
Understanding on Cooperation in higher Education between Oman and
Zanzibar, Agreement on Cooperation in Records and Archives and the
Agreement on Forming joint Business Council between Oman and Tanzania.

Understanding on Cooperation in higher Education between Oman and
Zanzibar while President Dr.Jakaya Kikwete witness the signing ceremony.
The President of Tanzania chamber of Commerce, Agriculture and Industry
Mr.Aloyce joseph Mwamanga and Oman’s President of Chamber of Commerce
and Industry Mr.Khalil Abdullah Al konji sing an Agreement on Forming
joint Business Council between Tanzania and Oman.
